Be sure to have 1 3/4" clearance around rear tire to insure that the spikes do not hit any part of the mower.

WARNING:  The Mow-Aerator is not to be used or  installed on riding mowers that have the gas tank within 2 inches of  either of the rear tires.  If you own or use such a mower, do not  install the Mow-Aerator on your lawn mower.  The proximity of the gas tank  to the tires may create a hazard for the rupturing of the gas  tank.
